ZANZIBAR, Stone Town – Nigeria’s B national team have arrived in Zanzibar ahead of the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024.
Coach Eric Chelle’s team arrived in Zanzibar on Friday ahead of their two friendly matches with the Zanzibar Heroes.
The CHAn tournament played exclusively by players featuring in their local Leagues back home will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania from August 2-30th, 2025.
“We have arrived early to continue with preparations and also have two build-up matches against Zanzibar,” said coach Chelle.
Junior Harrison Nduka will captain the team as they go all out to try and win the CHAN trophy that has eluded them since it was started in 2009.
The Super Eagles B side who came second in the 2018 Edition held in Morocco are placed in Group D alongside Sudan, Congo Brazzaville and defending champions Senegal.
