DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania, Sept 18 – Tanzania Premier League giants Young Africans SC will host St. George FC in an International friendly match at the Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Friday evening.
Young Africans SC will use the match to continue shaping up for more matches in the Premier League, while St. George FC are also preparting for the start of the Ethiopia Premier League on October 7th.
St. George FC, Ethiopia’s most decorated Club is handled by former Young Africans SC, Uganda Cranes, Al Hilal, SC Villa, Rwanda and Libya coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic.
“We are here to play two International matches against Young Africans SC and DR Congo’s AS Maniema,” Sredojevic told Talksportsfarica in an interview.
The match will also give Young Africans SC coach Manqoba Mngqithi opportunity to test other players who have not been very busy since the start of the season including Clement Mzize and Dickson Job who are returning from injury.
Young Africans SC have already qualified for the second preliminary round of the 2026/2026 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League campaign where they will face CFF Andoharanofotsy of Madagascar next month over two legs.
