Tunisian International Hannibal Mejbri has joined Spanish La Liga side, Sevilla on loan for the reminder of the season.
Mejbri who has been struggling to get a starting place at English Premier League side, Manchester United joined Sevilla on Monday.
According to information available the provisional agreement has been reached between the two clubs, with the Spanish club holding an option to make the move permanent in the summer for €20million including add-ons — and a fixed buy-back clause for United, who will also have a sell-on clause for the midfielder.
Hannibal, 20, underwent his medical at Sevilla on Monday to formalise his move to the struggling La Liga side — who sit just one place and one point above the relegation zone in Spain’s top flight.
If the purchase materialises, United would generate a sizeable return on a player whose contract is scheduled to end in 2025.
United including a buy-back option gives them a degree of control over the future of the Tunisian international.
Hannibal joined United in 2019 from Monaco and made only 13 first-team appearances for the club.
