JOHANNESBURG, Jan. 26 – Former Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane has landed a new job in Saudi Arabia.
The South African, also rated Africa’s top coach will now be in-charge of Saudi Pro League side Abha FC for the reminder of the 2023/2024 season.
MT Sports, the marketing and management that manages Mosimane announced the development on January 26th, 2024.
” MT Sports and Marketing is proud to announce that Coash Pitso Mosimane and his technical team are returning to Saudi Arabia as his appointment as the head coach of Abha Club in Abha, Saudi Arabia has been confirmed, ” said the Statement.
Mosimane who has won trophies with Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa) and Al Alhy (Egypt) will be returning to the Gulf after he also handled Al-Wahda FC few months ago.
” I am happy to be returning to Saudi Arabia with an exciting challenge awaiting. Abha Club has had a quick rise to the Saudi Pro League, considering they were playing in the 3rd Division just four seasons ago. Now as the club faces it’s toughest challenge yet, I am honoured that the Board has entrusted me with the task of keeping the team in the Pro League, ” said Mosimane.
The South African with his technical team will have a huge task as Abha FC have 15 games left in the season.
