Namibia’s Skinner, Wantenaar for Commonwealth Games

Namibia will have two swimmers take part in the upcoming Commonwealth Games 2022.

The Games that bring together Commonwealth Members are slated for July 28th to August 9th in Birmingham, England.

The Namibia Swimming Federation (NSF) has announced that Xander Skinner and Ronan Wantenaar will represent the country. The team will be accompanied by experienced coach Janis Stergiadis.

Skinner is currently training with a professional swimming team, while completing his Masters degree at Arizona State University in the United States.

Wantenaar was awarded a second year Fina scholarship and is currently training at the Fina Training Centre at Thanyapura in Phuket, Thailand.

Skinner has been in great form lately and recently broke his own Namibian 50m freestyle record on two occasions.
