Tanzanian striker Opah Tukumbuke joins Besiktas Women’s Side

Tanzania’s most prolific women’s striker Opah Clement Tukumbuke has joined Turkey’s Besiktas Women’s team.

Tukumbuke who guided Simba Queens SC to the semi final stage of the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League that was held in Morocco has already traveled to join her new team in Turkey on a two year contract.

Tukumbuke has been the leading scorer in the Serengeti Lite Women’s Premier League with 9 goals she has scored for Simba Queens. She also leaves Simba Queens top of the log with 19 points.

Charles Ayiekoh Lukula, the Simba Queens head coach said that he is happy for Tukumbuke going to play professional football in Turkey. “Football is a journey and when a good opportunity comes it is always good to take it. We wish her all the best,” added Lukula.

Aisha Masaka is another Tanzanian footballer who plays as a forward or a winger for BK Häcken in Sweden.
