JUBA, South Sudan – Businessman Francis Amin has joined the race for presidency ahead of the elections for the South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) slated for August 15th, 2025 in Juba.
Amin, a former President of the Federation four years ago submitted his documents on Friday at the SSFF headquarters.
“I have what it takes to bring about more Football development in South Sudan. Even the expansion of the Juba National Stadium was my brain child when I was still President and I am ready to bring a lot more Stadiums and development,” added Amin.
He made it clear that he was approved by four member Associations since it is one of the requirements.
Amin served the Federation before for four years and was succeeded by the current President Gen. Agustino Parek Maduot
Although the incumbent is expected to return his documents to the electoral body in the next few days, new entrant Teng Deng who has been based in the US is reliably still trying to raise the required nomination by four member Associations.
South Sudan was admitted as a FIFA member on 25 May 2012 at the second session of the 62nd FIFA Congress held in Budapest, Hungary.
