Uganda Rugby Cranes (15s) head coach Fred Mudoola has today named his 28-man squad that will start preparations ahead of the Rugby Africa Cup 2022.
The coach has also invited star player Philip Wokorach who features for AS Bédarrides – Châteauneuf-du-Pape in France.
The tournament slated for July 1-10th in the French cities of Marseille and Aix-en-Provence will also act as a Rugby World Cup qualifier were the eight teams will compete for one slot.
The tournament to take place from July 1-10 in the French cities of Marseille and Aix-en-Provence will also be the Rugby Africa Cup 2022.
“We need to prepare well in the few weeks ahead of the tournament. This will be a competitive competition because it is also a World Cup 2023 qualifier,” said Coach Mudoola.
The eight teams that will tussle it out in the tournament include; Uganda, Namibia,Senegal, Zimbabwe, Cote d’Ivoire, Kenya, Algeria and Burkina Faso.
