DAR EL SALAAM, Tanzania – Co-hosts Tanzania have kick started their Group B TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 with a 2-0 win against Burkina Faso.
The Taifa Stars saw off the West African team in a match attended by a big crowd at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Saturday evening.
Abdul Hamisi Suleiman converted a penalty in the first half, while Mohamed Hussein Mohamed made it 2-0 in the second half.
At the stroke half time Suleiman converted a penalty after striker Clement Mzize had been fouled in the box.
