The national team of Burundi will play two international matches against Harambee Stars of Kenya later this month.
Jeremy Manirakiza, the General Secretary of Football Federation of Burundi (FFB) has confirmed that the two matches will be played in Nairobi, Kenya on March 25th and 28th.
“These two matches will help our new coach to learn the players better as we prepare for upcoming games in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers,” added Nanirakiza.
The Harambee Stars will be returning to international football after the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) had last year been suspended by world football governing body FIFA because of government interference.
The two teams Burundi and Kenya had been placed in Group C of the AFCON qualifiers together with Cameroon and Namibia, but the FIFA suspension denied the Harambee Stars chance to play.
Former Tanzania head coach Etienne Ndayiragije who was appointed last month by FFB will be in-charge of the Burundi national team during the two international friendly matches.
