Djibouti Premier League Champions Arta Solar 7 picked a 1-0 win against Simba SC in an international friendly match played on Saturday at the Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The Tanzania Premier League side fresh from a tour of Sudan had several attacks, but the Arta Solar 7 goalkeeper Dilo Christ was up to the task.
Simba SC who were missing several of their first-choice players who has with the national team to Uganda for a TotalEnergies African Nations Championship qualifier continued to attack in numbers but failed to find the goals.
Substitute Manuncho Athumani netted the lone goal for the Djibouti side after 89 minutes with a low shot past the Simba SC goalkeeper. The two teams used the match to prepare head of the first round matches of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League where Simba SC will face Big Bullets (Malawi), while Arta Solar 7 take on Sudan’s Al Merreikh.
In the other matches Arta Solar 7 have played in Tanzania, they lost 3-0 to Azam FC, and drew 1-1 with KMC FC.
