JUBA, Feb 8. – After nine matches played Jamus Sports Club are top of the inaugural 2024/2025 South Sudan Premier League.
The 2024 South Sudan Cup Winners Jamus SC defeated Koryom FC Bor 4-3 in a League match played on Friday to reclaim their top position.
After nine matches played Jamus SC have collected 23 points after registering seven wins and two draws. “We shall keep working hard because our target remains to win the League title and play in the CAF Champions League,” Jamus SC Yohanna Paulino who netted a brace in the win against Koryom FC Bor told Talksportsafrica.com.
Kator FC who settled for a draw with 2024 champions El Merriekh SC Bentiu few days ago are in second place with 21 points from six wins and three draws.
El Merriekh SC Bentiu is placed third with a better goal difference than Holy Family FC and Koryom FC Bor who have also collected 19 points.
In a match played on Saturday Bentiu City SC stopped Nile City FC to register their third win after nine matches played. Bentiu City SC moved to 8th position with 11 points.
Action in the South Sudan Premier League sponsored by MT South Sudan continues on Sunday with two matches on card. El Merriekh SC Bentiu will face Young Star FC in the first match, while Malakia FC take on Holy Family FC.
