Rugby rivals Kenya, Uganda placed in same group

Kenya and Uganda have been placed in the same group for the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022.

In the draws released yesterday, the arch-rivals Kenya and Uganda are placed in Group D together with giants Australia and Jamaica.

Africa’s third representatives Zambia have been placed in Group C alongside Fiji, Canada and Wales.

Rugby will be played .July 29-31st at the Coventry Stadium during the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022.

Already Uganda’s head coach Tolbert Onyango has named a 14-man squad ahead of the Games.

French based professional Philip Wokorach who featured for AS Bédarrides, Châteauneuf-du-Pape will captain the team.

Group A: New Zealand, England, Samoa, Sri Lanka

Group B: South Africa, Scotland, Tonga, Malaysia

Group C: Fiji, Canada, Wales, Zambia

Group D: Australia, Kenya, Uganda, Jamaica
